Aethra Video Communications Inside Ibm/Cisco Crisis Response Vehicles at Networkers Cisco Live 2007

Aethra®, a leader in the global telecommunications market, today announced that its Vega X5 high performance set-top videoconferencing system, is on show at Networkers 2007, Cisco’s Annual User’s Conference held from July 23-26 in Anaheim, California. The Vega X5 is deployed inside the Network Emergency Response Vehicles (NERV), which are part of the new Crisis Management Services from IBM/Cisco.
The Vega X5 is located inside the Sentinel truck, which is featured at the Cisco Connected Government Solutions booth (#353). During the 4-day event the Vega X5 will be demonstrated to attendees inside the truck. The Vega X5 is situated in the command suite, which offers seating for six individuals and provides decision support tools and meeting space for making real-time command and control decisions. The command suite is outfitted with a large, touch-screen plasma display, computer network connections, video teleconference, and radio and IP phone service for timely analysis and display of situational data.
The Aethra Vega X5 solution has a built-in MCU, which connects up to 8 locations in Continuous Presence mode with automatic Voice Tracking functionality. The X5 provides superior audio and video quality and is the epitome of Italian style and design.
