Aethra appoints new Managing Director for Asia-Pacific

(31 ott 2007) - Aethra® Spa, a leader in the global telecommunications market, today announced to the press the appointment of Mr. Jason Bowers, as Managing Director for the APAC region. Based in Hong Kong, Mr. Bowers is responsible for the overall management of the business across the region, which covers SAARC, China, Hong Kong, Japan, ASEAN countries, Korea and Australia & New Zealand.

Prior to joining Aethra Mr. Bowers worked for Polycom as regional sales director, and later as Director, Sales for DST Media, a division of Polycom. Mr. Bowers has also worked for British Telecom, as Sales Director for conferencing in Europe, and MCI Worldcom (now Verizon) as Sales Manager for mainland Europe, where he was responsible for CPE (Customer Premise Equipment) as well as conferencing managed services revenue.

Following his degree in Hydrographic surveying, from Southampton University, UK, Mr. Bowers spent 8 years as an officer in HM Royal Navy.
