Frederic Astier appointed Head of Marketing at Nokia Siemens Networks

Nokia Siemens Networks announced today that Frederic Astier has been
appointed Head of Marketing at Nokia Siemens Networks – effective April 1, 2008.
Espoo, Finland - In his new role Frederic Astier will have
responsibilities for Nokia Siemens Networks’ overall Marketing activities,
in all the regions and across the entire portfolio of products and services.
Frederic Astier will report to Christoph Caselitz, Head of Customer and
Market Operations at Nokia Siemens Networks.

Leadership Team. His extensive sales & marketing experience, his knowledge of
our company’s potential and his broad understanding of the business environment
will help drive Nokia Siemens Networks’ business as a leading global solutions
and services company,” said Caselitz.
Frederic Astier was previously a management team member of the Vodafone Customer
Business Team at Nokia Siemens Networks. His responsibilities included
Consulting, Applications, Hosting and Service Enablers – focusing on integrated
business solutions and service deals across Vodafone’s global footprint of
operating companies.
Prior to joining Nokia in 2005, Frederic Astier was a management consultant at
Accenture – with several positions held in Strategy, Business Consulting
and the Market Making Group. He has been working with leading blue-chip
companies across the telecommunications industry (Fixed, Mobile, Equipment and
Media/Entertainment) and has contributed to various Thought Leadership Programs
in the industry.
Frederic Astier has earned an MBA in Marketing at Wharton in the United States
and BBA in International Marketing in Paris, France.
In his new role, Frederic Astier succeeds Michael Hofmann, who is joining
Nokia to lead the Deutsche Telekom Account.
